Brent McKee, at his blog site New Deal of the Day, has been highlighting the last few days the contributions and legacy of the National Youth Administration, which included archaeology. I recommend that those interested in New Deal archaeology regularly visit his site, as well as WPA Today site.  Work relief archaeology was only part and parcel of the Roosevelt administration’s vision for rebuilding America and Americans.
